It was so wonderful to hand out the clothing items today to the community. The smile and hugs are well worth it. Simply treating our fellow humans with love and compassion. Not judging and ridiculing. I lived in the streets myself due to mental illness, hard times and drug addiction. So my passion is to help others as best as I can. Not only the homeless...but others who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction. It can happen to anyone. No one is exempt to this disease. Please help us donate to the needs of others....☺️

I am pretty sure I will make March our next event month. Giving us plenty of time to gather up lots of times to help our homeless and less fortunate friends out there.
I’ll post the event soon, however, just wanted to share how beautiful it was helping others today. However, kindness is not only for the holidays or one day. We can show kindness, compassion, understanding, love and joy every single day.💜

I just want to say thank you for everyone who donated to the “Sackin’ Socks” event to give our homeless community some warm winter items and socks for the colder season. If you missed it this month, don’t even worry about it. I plan to keep this going and hopefully collect every month to drop items off at a variety of the shelters and tent homes in the Denver area. Seasonal included. Let me know in advanced if you would like to help. There are many items our beautiful humans out there can make good use of. Also, donating your time or collecting items yourself to offer a hand would be wonderful. 2020 has been a stressful year for all of us, however, let’s still strive to give back to our community and help others who need us. Thanks everyone and I hope you have a great next couple of days and weekend.💚

If anyone wants to volunteer to help the homeless tiny home community...here are several links. I reached out to ask how I can also serve the community’s needs. Below is the response I received today. And I am excited that I reached out to take action and help. I think this is a great cause. There are volunteer shifts. Providing meals and ways to donate items the community needs Thanks for bringing it to our attention Kelli Miller!🙏

Alright. I have picked up several boxes and bags of not only socks, but warm clothing - like coats, scarves and gloves.☺️ This is really going well so far and I appreciate all of you who are donating to make a difference. Even if it’s a small one. It’s huge to our fellow humans out there!💚

The Colorado Village Collaborative just opened The Women’s Village @ Clara Brown Commons this past week! The first residents spent their first night on 2 DEC in this brand new cluster of 14 tiny homes, which make up Denver's second tiny home village. One resident reported spending the previous night in a stairwell. Another resident reported spending the previous night in an abandoned warehouse.

Now these women are held in the warmth, security, and stability of shelter and community. On this new morning, the process of healing from past traumas begins.

Since passing zoning code changes in October 2019 that made room for Temporary Tiny Home Villages all throughout the city, the number of tiny homes in Denver has tripled from 11 units to 33 units in just one year.

Let’s celebrate and support this great cause and these women! Please help by donating via the wish list below 🥰
