June is PTSD Awareness Month, and it’s a time to raise awareness about the far-reaching impact of post-traumatic stress disorder and to advocate for understanding, support, and care for those living with it.

PTSD affects just under 5% of the general adult population in the U.S. — but for veterans and first responders, that rate rises to nearly 8%. Without treatment, symptoms like flashbacks, severe anxiety, and insomnia can become even more serious. Trauma can affect anyone, and it often shows up in ways we don't expect, including in the people we support every day.

Whether you work in behavioral health, disability services, or caregiving, or you're simply someone who wants to better understand the people around you, awareness is a powerful first step.

We’re excited to share that Rocky Mountain Human Services is launching INCLUDE — a new program focused on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and delays who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Through housing navigation, wraparound supports, and person-centered care, INCLUDE will help connect individuals and families to stable housing and long-term community support.

We’re proud to continue expanding services that help people live safely, independently, and fully included in their communities. More information — including referral details — coming soon.
