Our scholar-athlete Sean Dammond will be throwing out the first pitch at today’s Colorado Rockies game as part of the “Hit the Mitt” charity initiative presented by UCHealth.

This moment represents more than baseball—it’s about exposure, opportunity, and stepping into big stages with confidence. We’re incredibly proud of Sean for representing his family, our community, and Athletics & Beyond in a major way.

Twenty years is more than a milestone — it’s a testament to resiliency, growth, and commitment to community. As I reflect on 2025, I’m proud of what we’ve built, grateful for what we’ve done right, and equally focused on where we must improve to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

The work continues — with intention, humility, and purpose.

We’re excited to spotlight Track Club with Performance Trainers Fisher, powered by Vert Lab, Speed Lab, and Sports Performance Training.

🚨Big news from Athletics & Beyond! 🙌
9News will be filming at Coors Field, and we’ve been invited to join Daniels Fund President and CEO, Hanna Skandera Skandera, on the baseball diamond as we celebrate 2025.

We’re officially in!

Starting Sept. 3 at 6:00 p.m. MT through Sept. 17, you can support our team directly through a donation that helps us cover the cost of programming — from facility maintenance and insurance to equipment and scholarships. For just $625, you can provide a full year of program participation for one child at the Athletics & Beyond Family Wellness Center, ensuring every kid gets a fair shot at success. Our goal is to raise $100,000

💥 Plus, donations will be boosted by a 1:1 Kick Off Match and Incentive Fund, doubling your impact.

Later that evening, we’ll also be honored as the Small Business Spotlight at every home football game this season! For the first game — this Friday, August 29th vs. Georgia Tech — we’ll be recognized on the field during a media timeout, featured in-venue, and receive a generous donation courtesy of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, along with two game tickets, pregame hospitality, and parking.
