🧡 December 7 – Day 13 of the 16 Days of Activism

Today we’re spotlighting a powerful story of transformation and resilience.

Consider reading Scars & Stilettos, which shares the story of a woman who entered an abusive relationship and was drawn into exploitation through exotic dancing — and her courageous journey toward healing and freedom. By reading and sharing stories like this, we shine a light on the realities of exploitation, and the resilience survivors demonstrate in reclaiming their lives.

A portion of each sale supports ongoing efforts to combat trafficking and support survivors — helping to fund real-world change and hope for those still affected. 🧡

🧡 December 6 – Day 12 of the 16 Days of Activism

Today we pause in remembrance of victims of violence and honor the courage of survivors.

We invite you to learn about The Miller Miles, written by Amanda Blackwood, a human trafficking survivor and advocate based here in Denver. Her micro-biographies shine a light on the realities of trafficking, and a portion of every book sale supports efforts to fight human trafficking and assist those still in danger.

🧡 Reading and sharing stories like Amanda’s helps keep survivors’ voices at the center of this movement.

🧡 December 5– Day 11 of the 16 Days of Activism

Child grooming often starts quietly — with gifts, attention, or kindness that seems harmless. But grooming is a calculated process used by predators to build trust, isolate children, and eventually exploit them.

That’s why awareness matters. By knowing what to look for — sudden gift-giving, secretive behaviour, inappropriate attention, or a child becoming withdrawn — we can protect children and help stop abuse before it happens.

✅ Share this resource so more people recognize the warning signs and know how to create safe spaces for children.

🧡 December 3 – Day 9 of the 16 Days of Activism

Today we’re reflecting on how connection can prevent exploitation. Traffickers often target people who feel isolated or alone—and strengthening community is one of the most powerful ways to protect one another.

Read and share this important article on how traffickers exploit loneliness, and why staying connected matters:

🧡 November 30 – Day 6 of the 16 Days of Activism

Today we’re highlighting an important topic in the fight to end digital violence against women and girls: the rise of the manosphere and its real-world impacts.

The manosphere refers to online spaces that promote misogyny, harassment, and harmful narratives about women. While these communities exist online, their influence extends far beyond the screen—fueling gender-based violence, intimidation, and the normalization of abuse.

Understanding these dynamics is essential to creating safer digital spaces for everyone. UN Women has developed a clear explainer on what the manosphere is, why it matters, and how we can work together to counter online misogyny.

By raising awareness, we strengthen our collective ability to challenge harmful behaviors and support a safer, more respectful online world. 🧡

🧡 November 29 – Day 5 of the 16 Days of Activism

Today we’re raising awareness about the signs of relationship abuse—and how each of us can support someone who may need help.

Relationship abuse is not always visible. It can include emotional manipulation, digital harassment, isolation, monitoring, intimidation, and other behaviors that erode a person’s safety and autonomy. Recognizing these signs is an important step in preventing violence and supporting survivors.

UN Women has created an excellent explainer on what to look for and how to offer safe, compassionate support.

Together, we can amplify awareness, strengthen support networks, and help create a world where all women and girls can live free from all forms of violence—online and offline. 🧡

🧡 November 28 – Day 4 of the 16 Days of Activism

As we head into Black Friday, it’s a great time to reflect on how our purchasing choices impact women and girls around the world. Ethical shopping isn’t just about sustainability—it’s also about protecting human rights and supporting brands that uplift, rather than exploit.

Today we’re sharing Good On You, a helpful directory that makes it easier to understand how companies perform on issues like labor rights, transparency, and environmental impact.

When we choose responsibly, we help build a safer, more equitable world—online and off. 🧡
