Lunch and Learn: The Colorado Constitution at 150 and Why It Matters
Tuesday, Oct. 6 | 12 – 1:30 p.m.
1800 Grant St. Denver, CO 80203
Price: $20 per ticket

On Aug. 1 (Colorado Day), the state began a yearlong celebration marking our 150th year of statehood. But how many Coloradans know we have a state constitution, and if they do, have they read it? Dr. Vandiver introduces us to fierce debates among the framers of the Colorado Constitution in 1875–76, unique features of our constitution, and why state constitutions are vital to reviving our civic culture. All participants will receive a beautiful Essential Colorado Constitution, sponsored by CU Colorado Springs’ Center for the Study of Government and the Individual (CSGI), along with a boxed lunch from Honey Baked Ham.
