Lunch and Learn: The Complex Ethics of Human-Tech Dependence
Why does AI divide us so sharply? And why does technological progress always seem to arrive with unease?
Join the CU Denver Chapter for a Lunch and Learn with Paul Diduch, Teaching Associate Professor in the Herbst Program for Engineering, Ethics & Society at CU Boulder and Director of Engineering Leadership.
Paul will lead us through short readings from Plato and Francis Bacon to explore why our relationship with technology remains one of the most pressing ethical questions of our time. With doctoral work in Plato's ethics and moral psychology—and teaching that spans ancient philosophy, leadership, and contemporary issues in science and society—he's uniquely positioned to connect timeless ideas to today's debates.
This isn't just a tech conversation. It's a human one.
