Please join us in welcoming our newest team member, Kayla Galvez, to Denver Children's Advocacy Center! 🎉
Kayla joins DCAC as a Bilingual Family Advocate, bringing a wealth of experience supporting survivors of violence and trauma. Fluent in Spanish and proud of her Honduran heritage, Kayla is passionate about providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed advocacy to children and families on their healing journeys.
Before joining DCAC, Kayla worked at the Rose Andom Center, supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of victimization. She also serves as an on-call Victim Advocate with the Glendale Police Department, providing crisis response and support during traumatic situations.
Kayla earned her bachelor's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Forensic Psychology at Arizona State University.
