Cold War Patriots members demonstrated many forms of courage through their work in the nuclear weapons and uranium industries. For two men, that courage came at a high personal cost—resulting in serious illnesses linked to their time on the job.

Today, thanks to the benefits they earned, they receive the home care they need through Professional Case Management (PCM)

Men and women like Tom and Jason often worked in secrecy so America could develop the technologies and weapons believed necessary to keep the country safe. Their sacrifice deserves recognition, care, and support.

📖 Read their stories today:

🌟Outreach Spotlight: Melissa Houston🌟

"I have had the privilege of working in healthcare for over 20 years. I spent the majority of those years as a physical therapy assistant in acute care and home health settings. I also have a background in healthcare marketing and have spent a brief time in healthcare management as a rehabilitation director and hospice administrator. I am incredibly excited to join the Professional Case Management (PCM) and Cold War Patriots (CWP) family and bring my experience and skill set to the Tennessee community.

Since joining in August of 2025, I have had the honor of learning from a group of knowledgeable professionals who are all deeply committed to serving U.S. Department of Energy workers. Their collaboration and passion have been truly inspiring and especially meaningful to me because my husband and several family members are employed at Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge. This personal connection makes PCM and CWP’s mission even closer to my heart as we work to educate, care, and assist sick workers with their U.S. DOL medical benefits white card. Being part of a cause that directly impacts the people I care about makes this work deeply meaningful. I am excited to help raise greater awareness of EEOICPA within our Tennessee worker community, and to continue supporting the individuals and families who built and protected our nation."
