There’s a lot happening at JLD this fall and our October General Membership Meeting (GMM) is
where it all comes together!

Join us for an evening of connection, conversation and a look at what’s ahead across the
League. Explore opportunities at our Fall Placement Fair, hear from our Public Policy Council,
get the first look at The Journey’s theme and location, gear up for Mile High Holiday Mart, and
get ready for Libations for the League the very next night!

Parking: parking lot outside meeting location
Food & Beverage: Taco bar
Attire: Casual - Autumn or Halloween favorites!

A FEW IMPORTANT DETAILS:
✅ Fall placement will take place from 6:00 - 6:30 PM.
✅ The meeting begins promptly at 6:30 PM.
✅ Attendance will be taken at the end of the meeting. You must stay through the end to
receive meeting credit.

Our Annual W**e & Ballots is officially scheduled for Thursday, October 8 from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. This event features a deep-dive discussion of ballot measures with impartial analysis to help our members (& guests!) understand the purpose and effect of measures on the Denver and statewide ballots prior to voting this November.

This virtual event is open to the public, so please invite your friends & family! Members can register via Member Essentials.

❤️ A DECADE OF SERVICE. A LIFETIME OF COMMUNITY IMPACT.

This past Saturday, September 19, we celebrated our 10th Anniversary JLD L.U.V.S. Day of Service, also known as Leaders United in Volunteer Service!

⏰ 750 hours of service
💰 $10,000 provided in grants

Our volunteers tackled a variety of projects, giving nonprofit staff valuable time back to focus on serving vulnerable communities. JLD also provided $1,000 grants to each of our nonprofit partners to support their projects.

And after a morning of service, we celebrated together at Wash Park Social! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to our 2026 L.U.V.S. Co-Chairs, Sabina Grusnick and Kim Vo, their committee, JLD leadership, and every JLD member who showed up and gave the gift of time. ❤️

As we approach our 10th Anniversary L.U.V.S. Day of Service on September 19, we’re shining a spotlight on our wonderful nonprofit partners! 💙

MotherWise Colorado supports pregnant women and new mothers in Denver through free workshops and one-on-one coaching focused on healthy relationships, communication, parenting, and connecting with a newborn. ✨ SafeHouse Denver

SafeHouse Denver is a nonprofit that supports adults, children, and youth experiencing domestic violence by providing emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, and safety planning. In Denver, it helps survivors build safe and independent lives through its shelter, non-residential counseling services, and extended-stay housing program.
