Global Seed Savers Mission: Organize, educate, and mobilize smallholder and family farmers in creating seed sovereignty and fostering sustainable communities and regenerative ecosystems. We believe that a diverse, community-owned seed library is critical to safeguarding the world's food supply and protecting our planet's biodiversity. Our team works with farmers, gardeners, and communities in the

Philippines to collect, store, and distribute seeds adapted to local growing conditions and resistant to pests and diseases. By preserving these seeds and the knowledge needed to grow them, we are helping to build a more sustainable and equitable food system that can feed future generations. At Global Seed Savers, we are committed to promoting food sovereignty, environmental stewardship, and community resilience. We work to empower farmers and communities to preserve their seed heritage and share their knowledge with others. Team GSS/P just had a big logistical meeting finalizing all the June activities: including our strategic staff and board retreat, two next chapter parties and celebrations with our communities in Cebu and Baguio/Benguet while our Founder is there and so much more! June is going to be a jam packed month for Team GSS!

We also got to share some love with our dear Anjanette, as this is her last all team meeting as her role winds down as part of the GSS US transition!

AJ! We love you and are so excited for your next chapter and to see all you will continue to do and contribute to making our world a better place. Ingat and Amping always!

WOW! Our community showed up BIG!

We are deeply grateful for our Denver community of supporters who gathered to mark this moment of transition to a fully Philippines-led organization last week at Vine Street Pub!

The evening was filled with powerful energy, inspiring messages, and a shared commitment to sustaining the on-going work of building seed sovereignty across the Philippines under full Philippines operations and leadership!

Thanks to 45 generous donors, we have raised $90,205 of our $100K goal for the Legacy Fund.

As we shared during the Happy Hour, we have a generous $10,000 Match to unlock, so our current Legacy Fund Total raised is $95,205, including half the match already met, thanks to generous support that came in during the happy hour.

We still need your help to reach the total fundraising goal and ensure the Philippines Operations have additional runway to carry the mission forward. We only need $5,000 to cross the finish line! Please consider making a gift for this monumentous moment for Global Seed Savers Philippines.
