⚠️TRAVEL ALERT⚠ | I-70 Floyd Hill near Idaho Springs
For the week of Oct. 6, travel impacts are:
🔸9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, through Thursday, Oct. 10 - Crews will continue rock scaling operations above westbound I-70 between the Veterans Memorial Tunnels and Hidden Valley interchange near Idaho Springs. Expect 20-minute traffic holds on I-70 up to six times per day, approximately every 60 to 75 minutes. Plan for delays up to 45 minutes as each traffic queue clears. Stay on I-70. 🔸 Sunday, Oct. 6, through Thursday, Oct. 10 - Expect daytime and overnight closures of the Homestead Road on-ramp to westbound I-70 (Exit 247) for ramp construction.
🔸6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Wednesday, Oct. 9 - Expect an overnight closure of the westbound I-70 off-ramp to US 6 (Exit 244) for a traffic switch.
🔸6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 10 - Expect an overnight closure of the eastbound I-70 off-ramp to Homestead Road (Exit 247) for ramp construction.
🔸Pay extra attention to the new traffic patterns on I-70. Please slow down and drive safely.
🔸Watch for corridor-wide daytime and overnight lane closures Sunday through Friday.
