Dear DEMC fans,

We had so hoped that it would somehow be possible to share our Mother’s Day concert of all female Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque composers, but along with the leadership of our venue, the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, we determined to cancel, given the current national health emergency of the COVID pandemic. We hope to bring our women composers to you in Spring 2021, and some of the Consort members are hatching a plan for a future virtual performance. In the meantime, please enjoy this recording of soprano Shannon Mercer performing one of the works we were hoping to present to you this weekend. Stay safe and healthy, be well, and we’ll see you on the other side of this uncertain time.

With thanks for your support,
Kathleen Schmidt, Artistic Director
