With rank and age, the Young Marines are eligible to participate in the SPACES program which offers incredible opportunities.

Today marks the start of Memorial Day weekend — a time that holds special meaning for many. Tonight, the Foothills Young Marines had the honor of performing the color guard at Colorado National Speedway. It was a meaningful moment to honor the courageous men and women who sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we enjoy every day. We also had the privilege of honoring NASCAR's Kyle Busch.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend. Let’s remember to keep in our thoughts and prayers the fallen heroes who fought to protect this great nation.

Today, Foothills Young Marines had the honor of participating in a solemn and meaningful ceremony at Riverside Cemetery to remember and pay tribute to Denver Police fallen officers.
We assembled by the cemetery office before beginning the ceremony with a welcome, prayer, and historical remarks about Riverside Cemetery and the brave officers honored there. Our Young Marines proudly conducted formations, assisted throughout the ceremony, and respectfully read narratives at each gravesite as we traveled in procession across the cemetery.
The officers remembered today included:
• Beck
• Hawley
• Cook
• Sisty
• Steam
• Cabler
• Wanless
• Sandoval
• Phillips
• Zietz
It was a powerful experience for our Young Marines to help preserve the memory and legacy of these heroes through service, respect, and remembrance. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make today’s ceremony meaningful and dignified. Denver Police Museum

Today was a truly memorable day at Foothills Young Marines. We had the honor of performing our first color guard of the baseball season at the Colorado Rockies game, an especially meaningful moment as it marked the final color guard for three of our Young Marines who will be leaving the program this year.

Adding to the significance of the day, our very own adult volunteer, Lieutenant Junior Grade Derek Raulston, was recognized as the Hero of the Game. An incredible and well-deserved honor.

We were also fortunate to reconnect with our good friend Eugene, a 99-year-old World War II veteran. After welcoming him home last year on the Rocky Mountain Honor Flight, it was truly special to see him again, spend time together, and honor him once more.
