From countries like Costa Rica to Ghana to Cambodia, our dedicated specialists provide healthcare for children from birth to adolescence. Medical disciplines include: pediatric cardiology, cranio-facial procedures, neurosurgery, rehabilitation, and clinical problems and their causes. Depending on the infrastructure of a mission hospital, doctors can perform invasive and noninvasive procedures as well as comprehensive post-op and critical care.

❤️ Meet the Hospital: Nile of Hope Hospital ❤️

The Nile of Hope pediatric heart facility in Alexandria, Egypt, is a modern, well-equipped, not-for profit hospital supported by the government and by private donors. The hospital has excellent equipment and is supported by very well-trained, competent staff level.

They sought extra help to handle the more challenging cases, fine tune their ICU management and to embrace the increasingly large volume of referrals. Dr. Mohamed Abdelmalak Abokandil, CEO of Nile of Hope Hospital, invited the CardioStart International team to join the one-week pediatric heart surgery mission, led by Dr. Sameh Said, an Egyptian-born native who is a regular visitor there.

Children’s Lifeline International is glad to have provided financial support for this mission!

In August, we supported a Pediatric Cardiac Surgery mission at the Nile Of Hope Hospital.

CardioStart International sent a team of 13 pediatric medical professionals and three outreach team members on a first mission to Alexandria, Egypt. Children aged 2 months to 9 years received surgical procedures to treat congenital heart disease.

Thanks to everyone who picked up our Save the Date card and helped spread the word about our upcoming holiday event a couple weekends ago at Cofoh: Colorado Festival of Horror! 🖤

Our ”Shop Early for the Holidays” online auction begins in a little less than two months. This, along with our Third Annual Holiday Celebration, is our main fundraising event this year.

Tickets to our celebration provide admission to the Denver Botanic Gardens Blossoms of Light and a fun, festive VIP holiday gathering at the Gardens! We’ll enjoy warm apple c***r and hot chocolate, b**r and w**e, food and holiday sweet treats. Children are welcome!

All proceeds from our event will support our 2027 medical missions.

Our Pediatric Cardiac Missions to Ghana are among our most important missions. Twice a year, we partner with Dr. Frances Fynn-Thompson, a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon at Boston Children’s Hospital, to bring life-saving care to children in need while keeping them closer to home.
