Advocacy in action! 💙💛

Recently, GLOBAL Vice President of Strategic Alliances David Tolleson joined advocates from across the country in Washington, D.C., for the National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC) Policy Summit!

Led by Executive Director Jim Hudson and the NDSC Policy Team, the two-day summit brought together voices committed to advancing policies that support people with . Participants heard from Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) and Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) while building knowledge, connections and momentum for meaningful change.

You know and love her as Dr. Amelia Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy, but here at , we’re lucky to know Caterina as so much more than a star! 🌟 As a proud mom of three, a recipient of GLOBAL’s Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award, and our incredible , Caterina brings her heart, passion, and powerful voice to champion people with —including her amazing daughter, Pippa. 💙💛

Caterina has been instrumental in advocating with us in Washington, D.C. this year to progress the INCLUDE Project Act and we could not be more grateful. Starting with Heather Michaelson, who worked as an assistant teacher at a preschool for 22 years! 👩🏼‍🏫 She loves teaching & art and created “Heather’s Art from the Heart” with watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, and collages. She also enjoys cheering for her favorite Philadelphia sports teams – the Eagles, the Phillies, and the 76ers! 🏈🏀

Caleb Casburn is a high school graduate, who excelled in FFA, livestock projects, welding, and Special Olympics powerlifting, earning numerous medals! 💪🏼🏅 He is also a small business owner, who handcrafts executive pens through woodturning! 🖊️

Caleb Brunning, The Caleb Journal, has a vibrant spirit and loves music, dancing, Disney, and rollercoasters! 🎢 He is passionate about advocating for individuals with Down syndrome and autism, promoting meaningful inclusion and acceptance. 💙

She made history as the first person with Down syndrome to have a recurring role on American daytime television, Days of Our Lives. We can't wait to honor her this year! 🎭

Mason Schermerhorn loves storytelling, writing, singing, acting, and he approaches everything with a 'Game On!' attitude which he uses to face challenges, meet new people, and encourage others to believe in what’s possible. He hopes his journey inspires others to pursue their own dreams.📝🎤

🦁 Guion Macsovits, last year's incredible , is now in his second year at the at Regis University. He can either be found in the gym 💪🏼 or crafting a delicious smoothie! 🍌Guion leads with empathy and has an incredible ability to connect with people.
