Niza Knoll Gallery is having an artist reception of their book club art exhibition, "Alice Meets Remarkably Bright Creatures!" 📚🎨

Niza Knoll Gallery is pleased to revisit the series in which members of gallerist Niza Knoll’s book club brings to life characters and scenes of a common book through visual art.

This year’s presentation is a mash-up of two titles: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt.

The show features artists Aliki McCain, Niza Knoll, Sally Lewis, Pat Lickly, Kristi Melodia, Ellen Reynolds and Georgianne Rollman—each bringing a distinct style and vision to the show, with some pieces depicting characters unique to one book, while others creatively intertwine the worlds.

Come stop into the gallery during your art walk and see the creative ways in which art can brings stories alive!

Artists on Santa Fe invites you to the artist reception of "Menagarie II" this Third Friday! 🖼️✨

“Menagerie II” showcases a selection of works by David E. Clark that exemplify his recent evolution from photo-based, mixed-media work to his current abstracted realist oil paintings.

At first glance, Clark's oil paintings seem quite traditional—straightforward, realistic portraits and still lifes that exude an old-world feel. Upon further investigation, each composition features an erroneous element that pulls the viewer in to delight in an alternate storyline.

Stop in during your art walk to see these amazing works in person! Don't miss it!

Dart Gallery Denver is hosting an artist reception for their new exhibition, "Between Rhythm and Shape," this Third Friday! 🖼️✨

“Between Rhythm and Shape” features member artists Carol Bivins, Rachael LaMielle, Christine Morrow, and Marlene Polmear. These four artists bring together their abstract works that move between repetition and structure, gesture and form.

Patterns emerge, dissolve and reconfigure, while materials and marks establish their own internal tempo. Some works pulse with quiet accumulation, others with shifts in atmosphere or edge. Together, they occupy a space of transition, where rhythm becomes shape, and shape, in turn, suggests rhythm.

Swing by Dart Gallery Denver during your art walk to meet the artists and other community members!

📆 Friday, June 19 | 5-9pm

Museo De Las Americas is inviting you to Brilliant Beings: Encountering Images of Abundance in Colima Shaft Tombs Lecture! 🎨✨

Tomorrow evening, dive into the art of West Mexico where there are burnished depictions of flora and fauna rendered in ceramic. An assortment of agave, squash, dogs, birds, and fish among other beings make their way into burials associated with this area.

The painstaking effort to craft such brilliant creatures begs questions about their meanings and significance during the late-formative and classic period. This lecture will approach this inquiry through embodied looking, archaeological data, and art historical formal analysis to suggest the iterative potential of these realistic and captivating works.

Lecture is free for Museo members and $10 for the public. RSVP by clicking the link below now!

Check out a new exhibition opening on First Friday at Decadent Gallery! 🖼️✨

Prepare to enter a psychedelic printmaking universe with "Dream Logic", the upcoming debut show from artist Chandler Condon. Chandler’s interdisciplinary background in natural resources grounds her surrealist explorations in environmental stewardship, treating every “canvas” as a sacred space for collective care.

"Dream Logic" serves as a rhythmic celebration of organic growth, oscillating between meticulous linework and spontaneous mark-making to evoke a sense of celebration for life. Beyond the frame, you will discover phantasmagorical environments filled with "psylly" creatures and mesmerizing portals into the natural world.

Stop into Decadent Gallery during your First Friday art walk and celebrate the bold evolution in Condon’s practice and explore the mesmerizing narratives of her imagination.

Show dates: June 5 - July 10
