Another full house CCC monthly meeting. The hedgehog seminar had a lot of carvers. Many of our new carvers who came back joined in the seminar.

We had more people sign up for Carving in the Rockies. The classes are filling up, but there are still some spots available . Check out the class schedule on Coloradocarvers.org. You will find the registration form, an up to date class schedule and class descriptions.

This year’s community project was discussed . Our club is collaborating in a toy making drive. Bruce, our club member , “ real Santa” , brought in some samples of toys that have been made . Celia brought in many carving books about making toys.

Amy told a heartfelt story about one the recipients of the clubs last year’s walking stick community project. Our members and their generous talents make a difference.

There is no CCC monthly meeting in June. Instead there is Carving in the Rockies, June 18-20 & 22-23 at the Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church on 38th & Wadsworth in Wheat Ridge. Remember , there is Open Carving each day in addition to classes. Saturday will be the hot dog lunch ( donations excepted to cover the cost). Our club member , Wes will be entertaining us with his guitar at Saturday’s lunch.
