As we look back on 2025, our hearts are full of gratitude—and excitement for what’s ahead. Because of your generosity and partnership, this year brought powerful growth, deeper relationships, and tangible progress for orphaned and vulnerable children in Western Kenya. You are not just supporters of this work; you are an essential part of every life changed and every community strengthened. This year alone, you helped support more than 165 orphaned and vulnerable children, walked alongside 67 families, trained over 35 volunteers, and launched partnerships with two new Community Groups that are already well on their way toward long-term sustainability.
One of the year’s most exciting milestones was the expansion of our Community Group project, including new partnerships with the Lur and Madungu Community Groups. Together, we established strong reporting systems and shared partnership practices, laying critical groundwork for community-led solutions that will continue well beyond immediate needs. This is how sustainable change takes root—and it’s happening because of you.
The impact is already visible. Within the Lur Community Group, families are experiencing improved food security, with one child joyfully sharing that there is now “enough food to feed all of us, even our friends.” Girls who once missed school during their menstrual cycles are now attending consistently thanks to access to sanitary pads—restoring dignity, education, and opportunity. Even more inspiring, Lur demonstrated remarkable leadership by raising 95% of their monthly financial goal in June to support children beyond our partnership, momentum that continues to grow month by month.
Meanwhile, the Madungu Community Group is forging a hopeful path toward self-reliance through their Legacy Project. With initial support, they secured farmland, completed two successful planting seasons, and nearly fully funded their Sustainability Project through their first harvest alone—an amount we will match to help ensure lasting income generation after our partnership concludes. We are also thrilled to share that new funding will allow us to welcome two additional Community Groups in the coming year, expanding the reach of this life-changing work even further.
