Pierre Damas Bel was a physiology and neuroscience student at Wright State who had dreams of going to medical school. He was a bright student and cherished community member.

After the Supreme Court allowed Trump to rescind temporary protected status for Haitians, Pierre and dozens of Haitians in Springfield, Ohio were forced to wear ankle monitors. Those close to him say he felt humiliated, was bullied for it, and “treated like an animal.”

ICE’s cruelty is killing people.

Colorado Black Women for Political Action was proud to host a powerful gathering centered on connection, community, resources, and opportunity for Black women.

From our amazing panelists and engaging conversations to the activities, networking, and valuable resources shared throughout the day, the Summit was a meaningful space to learn, connect, and envision what’s possible.

As we continue navigating a changing society and economy, creating pathways to resources, opportunities, leadership, and economic empowerment for Black women remains so important.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their wisdom, brought resources, participated in the conversations, and helped make this event such a success. 💜

Today was AMAZING! From powerful conversations and inspiring panelists to meaningful connections and sisterhood, today was a beautiful reminder of what happens when Black women come together with purpose.
