End the School to Jail Track in Colorado

End the School to Jail Track in Colorado Each year, about 10,000 youth in CO are referred to the police by their schools. The majority of these referrals are for minor school behavior.

Black and Latino youth are the most impacted. Help us End the School to Jail Track in Colorado! Too many students in Colorado schools are being funneled from the classroom to the criminal justice system. The problem is especially severe for Black and Latino youth. We are fighting to end the unnecessary criminalization of minor discipline incidents that do not threaten school safety. We are calling

for a restorative approach to school discipline that keeps students on the track to college, not prison, and promotes a strong, safe learning environment for all.
