Our 2026 Ambassadors' Choice for Best Aircraft, presented by Metropolitan State University, went to this 1940 Harlow PJC-2 owned by Dan Callender.
Imagine a world where innovation knows no bounds! In 1936, Max Harlow, a pioneering aviation professor, took the first step towards revolutionizing the skies with the creation of the Harlow PJC-2. With only 11 manufactured, this rare gem, serial #3, is a testament to the power of vision and collaboration. As a trailblazer, Max not only designed the Harlow but also contributed to the development of iconic aircraft like the Douglas DC-1, 2, and 3, and the first Bonanza prototype. His legacy continued to soar with the design of Howard Hughes' record-breaking H-1. Today, only four Harlow PJC-2s remain, a reminder that even the most ambitious dreams can take flight. ✈️
Thank you, Dan, for your continued support of the event and for sharing this aviation marvel with the world!
