Stain’d is for uncovering the washed out wonders of the world. Finding meaningful expression is hard, Stain’d lets us slow down time a bit to find the places for truth, to insert moments of honesty, grit and grime. Stain’d is typos and mis-spelled words and sticky, sticky fingers (wouldn’t hold together without it). We are here to challenge notions of safety and comfort, to strain together, stain

together. This is dancing through it all, this is breaking together. This is a space for unfamiliar representations of beauty, uncovering the structures of reality that make us grounded. This is the discussions we don’t want to have but have anyway. This is for moments of value where no one is watching.

Molten cake and blood stain'd panties. Stain’d is for uncovering the washed out wonders of the world. Finding meaningful expression is hard, Stain’d lets us slow down time a bit to find the places for truth, to insert moments of honesty, grit and grime. We are here to challenge notions of safety and comfort, to strain together, stain together. This is dancing through it all, this is breaking together. Stain’d arts hosts cultural events throughout Denver including a monthly open mic, artist showcases, a storytelling event, publication release parties, a reading series, a poetry and photography workshop and more.

We publish an online journal, a lit mag, an art magazine, collections of poetry, works by individual writers, zines and short stories.
