Happy Ace Week! 🖤🩶🤍💜

This week is dedicated to increasing the understanding and acceptance of asexual-spectrum identities. It’s a time to celebrate the diverse experiences of individuals who may experience little to no sexual attraction. Like other sexual orientations, asexuality is not a choice, and it is distinct from celibacy or abstinence.

We observe this week as a vital opportunity to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and uplift all ace identities that make our community shine. 🌈

Today is Intersex Awareness Day!💛💜

Celebrated annually on October 26, this day marks the anniversary of the first public demonstration by intersex people in the United States that took place in 1996. Since then, many intersex people and allies have continued to advocate for the human and medical rights of all intersex people.

As the political landscape continues to evolve and harmful legislation is introduced, it is essential to forge our own support networks within our community. The Center is here to help.

Our resource guide provides information on navigating gender-affirming care, updating legal documents, immigration policies, and finding mental health and employment support. Additionally, our mental health program offers one-on-one support for WPATH letter development to help our gender diverse community access the affirming care they deserve.

The Center will continue to adapt to the evolving landscape with the support our community needs. Our doors are open and our space is ready to serve as a safe and affirming place to gather. In community, we find our greatest strength. In community, we build our power.⁠
