Last Friday AFRC and CrossPurpose hosted the first Recovery's Got Talent competition for the 2026 season, and it was incredible!! There was poetry, belly dancing, incredible original songs and for a lot of the performers it was their first time on stage in their recovery journey. Above all, every performer gave everything they had and it was a beautiful thing to witness. There is so much talent in our recovery community and even more love and support for everyone!
This show introduced a new change in 2026, the addition of guest judges to help decide who advances to the next round. Thank you nso much to our incredible judges, Derek- who recently won the One Dish At A Time cooking contest, the hysterical Kate - from Over The Rainbow Project & the 2026 Rally event partner, dad jokes by Laura Rich, and the one and only, beautiful, powerful, and sassy Sarah Hornbuckle who blew everyone away at the end of the night when she performed a song thar left everyone speechless. The first show is in the books and the following performers advanced to the semi final round August 28th: R3LIXX (all the way from Grand junction and the only perfect score given by the judges) Inferno (Leah Cross) - RGT's first belly dancer, Lauren DeJesus, Bree Fondacaro, and Rachel Kulick.
Stay tuned for more pictures, coming soon!
The next show will be held Friday June 26th at CrossPurpose. Applications for that event have been filled. Come support the incredible talent and see who advances!

Join us for The Mending Circle: Creating for a Cause

At Advocates for Recovery Colorado, we believe that connection is a vital piece of the recovery journey. To foster that connection, we are launching The Mending Circle, a recurring gathering for crafters of all skill levels.

This isn't just a hobby group-it's a mission. Our goal is to spend the year creating handmade hats, scarves and blankets. In the upcoming winter, we will host an outreach event to distribute these items to individuals in our community experiencing homelessness, providing much-needed warmth during the Colorado winter.

No supplies? No problem. We will have some materials to get you started.

Come for the venting stay for the mending. Let's knit our community closer together!

Our first meeting will be on Saturday January 24th, 2026 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM. The meetings will continue every Saturday after at the same time.

Every FRIDAY at 7:30AM ⏰

PSP ECHO (Peer Support Professionals Empowering Community Helping Others) is a safe, supportive meeting space exclusively for Peer Support Professionals—no participants, supervisors, or administrators.

This is your space to connect with fellow peer workers from all backgrounds (recovery, mental health, unhoused, veteran, and more) for support, networking, resources, and collaboration. It’s a brave place to vent, ask questions, and uplift one another.

We all need time away from those we support to recharge and care for ourselves. Join us and be part of a strong, empowered community!
