We are excited to share that the bill has officially passed committee and is heading to the House floor for a second hearing to determine whether it will move forward to the Senate.

Congress needs to hear from us loud and clear: do NOT agree to any DHS budget that allows ICE activity in schools — ever. We only have a couple of weeks to make our voices heard. Join CLLARO in contacting your Members of Congress and demand that protecting immigrant students and families remains non-negotiable.

🫶🏼Aging Latines deserve credible, rigorous, and accessible research that leads to evidence-based change. We want to close the gap in the lack of research for Latines and our well being.

🤝🏼Advocating for a better future is possible. We hope to improve Latine mental and physical well being by advocating for aging in place and more opportunities for social connection

• Research should center the experiences of those most impacted.
• Connection is power.
• This is what unity looks like.

🕵🏽‍♂️ Why is it important to research Latines 50 and older?

📈 As the aging population in Colorado grows, so do our parents, the work force, caretakers, and ourselves. Their livelihoods impact all of us.

📉 The aging population is an integral part of society, yet they are largely underinvested in.

📚 Together, we can produce a body of knowledge that works to improve the lives of Latines by investing in their quality of life with credible research.

🕵🏽‍♂️ ¿Por qué es importante investigar a los latines de 50 años o más?

📈 A medida que crece la población envejeciente en Colorado, también lo hacen nuestros padres, la fuerza laboral, las personas cuidadoras y nosotros mismos. Su bienestar nos afecta a todos.

📉 La población envejeciente es una parte fundamental de la sociedad, pero en gran medida no se le ha invertido lo suficiente.

📚 Juntos, podemos generar un cuerpo de conocimiento que contribuya a mejorar la vida de los latines, invirtiendo en su calidad de vida a través de investigaciones confiables.
