An important development for Jewish students in Boulder Valley School District:

ADL and BVSD have reached a settlement resolving the Title VI complaint ADL filed in June, with the district committing to significant new measures to prevent & respond to antisemitic harassment & discrimination.

We're grateful to ADL for their leadership and to the family whose courage in coming forward helped make these changes possible. We also appreciate BVSD's commitment to meaningful, districtwide reforms and to building a safer environment for Jewish students moving forward.

This agreement offers a strong model for how schools can strengthen Title VI protections through clear and consistent procedures, comprehensive resources, and meaningful accountability.

All too often, intention fails to translate into impact. But when the Jewish community unites around our shared goals, like protecting students from discrimination, we can achieve great things.

HB 26-1141 is exactly that. By clarifying schools’ obligations and strengthening Title VI procedures, accountability, and transparency, HB 26-1141 creates stronger pathways for addressing antisemitism and other forms of discrimination in Colorado schools.

By bringing together the subject-matter expertise of Jewish organizations with the relationships we've built with legislators and allies, we helped turn a shared priority into strong public policy.
