Hi Type 1 fam - our next IN-PERSON event will be at Acova in Denver on July 20th at 5pm (so we can catch their sweet happy hour).

We'll hopefully be on the patio but there's a chance they may put us inside depending on seating so please attend per your own comfort level.

Hi everyone! In two weeks we're hosting a VERY special event with longtime friend and supporter of everything T1D, Coach Heather.

The event will be held at the Louisville/Lafayette Orangetheory Studio (1455 Coal Creek Dr, Lafayette, CO), from 3-5 pm on Sunday, Nov 7. This event is in no way specific to Orangetheory and is intended to provide you exercises you can do at home, mostly without equipment, and on your own schedule.

This event is FREE and does not require an RSVP, although we'd certainly appreciate a heads up if you plan to come. **The Louisville Lafayette Orangetheory studio is in Boulder County and thus requires ALL PARTICIPANTS TO BE VACCINATED FOR COVID-19 TO ENTER THE STUDIO.**

Here's the overview:

Do you know what kind of fitness regimen works best for you as a Type 1 to stay healthy, increase your insulin sensitivity, and meet your goals? Maybe you've learned how different types of workouts affect blood sugar differently, but do you know how to put that learning into practice? Heather Doyle has been in the fitness industry for 20 years, and has spent the past 4 years learning about, advocating for and supporting Type 1 members and athletes. She is volunteering her time and expertise for this educational session because she's passionate about supporting people with chronic diseases in their health journey.

Heather will talk to us about how targeting different types of muscle groups might impact blood sugar management, and how you can mix & match cardio with strength training to get the results you want. This event will be a mix of lecture, demo and practice, so come dressed to work out!

This is going to be a fun, educational event and we hope you can join us!
