As we close out the first week of January, we’ve taken time to reflect on our accomplishments over the past year and set goals for an impactful 2025.
In December, we experienced a great loss with the passing of one of our beloved board members, Mody Diop. Mody was a dedicated and disciplined man, a loving husband and father, and an inspiration to us all. His service to both the Army and our community left an incredible mark on our organization. He will be deeply missed, and we pray that Allah grants his family peace and strength during this time.
In 2024, we:
Distributed 900 food boxes throughout the community.
Held two youth retreats focused on personal growth and leadership.
Organized seven community events and hosted three weeks of camp.
Served 65 youth consistently through all our programs.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue growing in 2025. Our goals include:
Consistently serving 75 youth.
Enhancing communication and visibility.
Expanding participation in our Camp Counselor and Child Care Educator program.
Increasing food distribution through hot meals, cooking classes, food boxes, and gardening initiatives.
We are eager for what lies ahead and look forward to making this year impactful. Stay tuned for our upcoming Youth Pitch Contest—it’s going to be an exciting opportunity!
