Our vision is for a Colorado where Latinos are united and advancing their collective power. Strong Latino organizations are essential to strong Latino communities. Today, we honor the life and legacy of Mr. Ron Montoya, a visionary whose leadership helped make the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC) possible.

Gracias, Ron. Tu legado seguirá inspirándonos a todos.

¡Feliz cumpleaños, Colorado! 150 years today.

On this day in 1876, Colorado became the 38th state and earned its nickname, the Centennial State. A century and a half later, this state is still being written by the people who call it home, including generations of Latino families, leaders, and small businesses who've helped Colorado grow.

As Colorado celebrates 150 years, LCFC is approaching a milestone of our own: nearly 20 years of investing in Latino leadership and comunidad across the state we love.

Friendship built our comunidad long before it had a name.

Today is International Day of Friendship, a reminder that the strongest movements often start small: a neighbor lending a hand, a mentor believing in someone before anyone else did, familia found in unexpected places.

At LCFC, we see this every day in the leaders and organizations we walk alongside: friendships that grow into coalitions, and coalitions that grow into lasting change.

💛 Tag a friend who's family. Gracias for walking with us.

Across Colorado, nonprofits are navigating a very difficult funding environment.
We've heard directly from our partners: when systems pull back, community organizations don't get to stop. The need grows — and they step forward anyway.
We're committed to showing up for them in the same way.

Hope isn't passive. It's built — through presence, through investment, through showing up the same way, year after year.

On International Day of Hope, we think about all the organizations and leaders across Colorado who hold hope steady for their communities — not with words, but with work.

That's the kind of hope LCFC is proud to walk alongside. 💛

Less than 1% of philanthropic dollars reach Latino communities. That gap doesn't reflect a lack of need or leadership — it reflects where philanthropy has chosen to look. LCFC exists to change that.
