Flashback ... Over the years very similar to the question posed regarding Freddie Houston's athletic background ..I have been questioned as well where my interest in coaching girls and women track came to be ,as mentioned in the Sportswomen of Colorado Award Ceremony it was spontaneously caused by Ruth Lucas ..the athlete issue is a very simple answer , I was a fairly sucessful high school athlete as is noted in the (3) Facebook Post .. I was a very average athlete in college and was a freshman reserve forward/center as a member of the Pueblo Junior College 1961 National Junior College Basketball Champions.. I was a one year letterman in basketball at PJC , and a (2) years letterman on the PJC's (2) year Empire Conference Track and Field Championships Teams.. I was a 6 ft 5 inches 225 lbs high hurdler ..I also ran the hurdles in high school .. My Junior year I transferred to Colorado State University , and was a Red Shirted Team Member on CSU's 1963 basketball team ..I became disheartened with basketball , but more so with Fort Collins ,and dropped out of school at the end of fall quarter of my senior year ,and joined the Marine Corps .. I returned to college and completed my education ..I have a Master of Science in Business Administration (MBA). I was inducted into Pueblo East High School's Hall Of Fame in 2019 for Basketball
