IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

Yahad - In Unum Presents: The Holocaust by Bullets In Central & Eastern Europe.

Please join us for a full One-Day Workshop exploring the history of the Holocaust by Bullets, Yahad-In Unum's Investigative Methodology, and supportive Educational Resources.

This one-day workshop combines historical context, primary-source investigation, and practical educational tools to help teachers bring this essential history into their classrooms.

During the workshop you will:

> Explore Jewish life and the transformation of Jewish communities from the Russian Empire to the Soviet Union before the Holocaust.

> Examine the concept of genocide.

> Learn about the Holocaust by Bullets and the interaction of ideology, policy, perpetrators, local circumstances, and populations in the implementation of mass murder.

> Discover Yahad – In Unum's investigative methodology and work with archival records, eyewitness testimony, maps, photographs, and other primary sources.

> Apply YIU's methodology through a mini case study designed to strengthen critical thinking, fact-checking, and evidence-based historical analysis.

> Discover educational resources, including the InEvidence Map and YIU's Study Guides for Educators, and consider how to translate historical knowledge and investigative methods into classroom practice.

This is a FREE workshop beginning at 8:30 AM and finishing at 5:00 PM. A light breakfast and full lunch will be provided. Nine hours of PD credit will be awarded.
