Meet Kati Peditto, one of the incredible speakers joining us for the 21st Annual WID 8x8 on October 6, 2026! ✨

Kati bridges the gap between science and design, studying how the built environment shapes human cognition, behavior, and health. She holds a PhD in Human Behavior and Design from Cornell University and has spent nearly a decade as a researcher at three of the world’s top 10 design firms. Today, she leads Built Experience Lab, a research consultancy focused on creating healthier, happier environments.

Her work has been featured in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and the BBC, drawing from environmental psychology, cognitive science, and evolutionary biology to explore how the spaces we inhabit shape us—and how we, in turn, shape them.

Meet Samantha Pollmiller, one of the incredible speakers joining us for the 21st Annual WID 8x8 on October 6, 2026! ✨

This year's theme is Designing Across Disciplines, and Samantha's practice sits right at the crossings. An entitlements expert with experience in land planning and landscape architecture, she joined Norris Design in 2014 and brings strong communication, organization, and strategy to every project.

With extensive experience across Colorado's Front Range, she has built lasting relationships with municipalities, consultants, and community stakeholders, helping clients navigate the planning and design process. Her work is driven by a simple conviction: places should inspire and connect the people in them.

Meet Julee Herdt, one of the incredible speakers joining us for the 21st Annual WID 8x8 on October 6, 2026! ✨

This year's theme is Designing Across Disciplines, and Julee moves between all of them: architect, Professor of Architecture, inventor, and researcher at the University of Colorado. In private practice she is an established pioneer in the development and application of biobased, low-embodied-energy building materials made from waste fibers.

Her BioSIPs inventions turn repurposed cellulose of all types into low-carbon, high-performance construction products, built for a healthier environment and improved human health.

Meet Libby Brodeur, one of the incredible speakers joining us for the 21st Annual WID 8x8 on October 6, 2026! ✨

This year's theme is Designing Across Disciplines, and Libby lives it under one roof. As Creative Director at Wallflower Goods by Make West, a design and fabrication firm specializing in branded environments, architectural signage, and site-specific art, she works alongside designers, fabricators, and installers to carry every pattern from initial sketch through final installation.

She is also the creator of Wallflower Goods, the firm's wallcovering line. Rooted in illustration, her work turns walls into immersive environments, grounded in the belief that surface design shapes how a space feels as much as how it looks.

Meet Rachael Yee, AIA, EDAC, NCARB one of the incredible speakers joining us for the 21st Annual WID 8x8 on October 6, 2026! ✨

Architect and Project Manager at MOA Architecture in Denver, Rachael brought the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program to Colorado as the program's first expansion chapter, and served as the youngest past-president of the AIA Colorado Board of Directors in 2021. Lifelong learning is not a line in her bio, it is the operating system. A natural fit for this year's theme, Designing Across Disciplines.
