Attention all alumni - 4 places are open for Ring of Reciprocity on Thursday, 3/14 Excited to bring the Ring to our club and hope to see you there!

Could you benefit from some advice and connections in 2019? If so, we hope you will join our Ring of Reciprocity on March 14th! Wharton alumni will gather and share specific professional or personal requests and other participating alumni will share their ideas and resources. To ensure participants have enough time, this event will be capped at 15, so register today to reserve your seat in the Ring.

When: 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 14th
Location: Davis, Graham & Stubbs Law Firm, 17th Street, Denver, CO

What is a Ring of Reciprocity?
The Reciprocity Ring, which harnesses the power of givers to help advance and even grant requests, is a concept popularized in Adam M. Grant's bestselling book Give and Take: A Revolutionary Approach to Success. Adam is the Wharton School’s youngest tenured professor and has been recognized as Wharton's top-rated professor for five straight years.
How will the Ring work?
Introductions and Requests for Expertise/Connections
We’ll mingle from 6:00 - 6:30ish and then go around the Ring to individually introduce ourselves and our requests. Research indicates that giving happens most often in response to a direct request for help. Each participant is invited to share a meaningful request, whether personal or professional. Changing careers? Need advice re a business opportunity/problem? Want to find a way to help human trafficking survivors in our city? Tracking down an obscure piece of technology? Survival tips for life with newborn twins and a toddler? Need a specific connection (s) for your business?

Offers of Connections & Help
Once all of the requests are known, participants are invited to offer suggestions, introductions, or other forms of assistance in response to the requests. It will be surprising and inspiring to see the generosity of knowledge and networks in action! Offers of help, expertise, connections, etc. will be captured on post-it notes by alumni offering assistance which will then be attached to appropriate poster boards of alumnae who need the info.

Social time to make connections and meet in person
We’ll save time at the end of the evening to allow participants to meet new friends and talk at greater length. Requestors will likely be eager to talk more with those who offered assistance. This event will yield a trove of help and new connections in the Wharton community.

Upcoming event for those in Boulder:

Boulder All Ivy Happy Hour:
Thursday, June 14th
St. Julien Hotel
Start time: 6PM

I hope that you can join us this month for another wonderful gathering on the patio with live music, this month from the Ned String Band. We are growing steadily and last month we had members who travelled from Fort Collins, Denver and in-between. We reached about 25/26 people but it is truly about the connections, collaborations, sharing and good times which unfold from our events and not the numbers in attendance. However, it is nice to always see positive growth! 🙂 Please join us this June!

Consider joining our private page where we share additional information, opportunities in network, members can post and pictures from our events: https://www.facebook.c om/groups/BoulderIvyPlus/
