Good news! "Two days after a trailer carrying a special piece of artwork was stolen from Native American students in Pueblo, Colorado, they announced that it has been found. Colorado police began searching for a stolen utility trailer after it was stolen overnight from a Pueblo hotel parking lot. The trailer contained the metal sculpture of a bison which Denver-area middle schoolers were using as part of their presentations along the Front Range this week." -

This particular recipe is a regular- after chef Travis Moody introduced the combination to our team a few years ago at the World Food Championships. It is really the perfect pairing for fall: fluffly biscuits, a fried egg, bacon, some apples for a bite of sweet and sour contrast, and of course a perfect bison flat iron steak.

~TEACHABLE TUESDAY~
This young bull found a prairie dog mound that looked like a great place for a dirt bath, followed by a short nap in the sun.

As you watch, you can see how difficult it would be for a bison to roll completely over because of the large hump. The bull still manages to coat his face and entire side in the dirt, most likely rubbing off flies and scratching an itch.

In the coming months, this scene will play out thousands of times as bison producers gather their herds and do the annual herd work.
Producers typically round up the herd and run animals through the chute for vaccinations, deworming, pregnancy checks, and sorting.
The goal is to keep this task as stress-free as possible, so animals move in and out of the chute quickly and efficiently.
This cow was ready to return to the pasture after her turn in the chute. Look at that nearly perfect leap!
