A Denver-based housing co-op, promoting collective agency and ownership. We are working to create a local network of mutual aid.

Queen City Cooperative aims to provide affordable housing options through a shared-equity, cooperatively-owned corporation. Recognizing that the housing market in Denver is increasingly unaffordable, we support the development of alternative models, and we advocate for the economic and political legitimization of cooperatives in Colorado. We believe that the cooperative model not only fost

ers individual wealth and responsibility, but also builds community wealth and responsibility. Where We Are:
Our house is located in the heart of Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, and we are currently at capacity with six residents. With our first major acquisition behind us, we are beginning to explore how we can introduce a shared ownership model and transform individual ownership into shared ownership. The shared-equity option is the backbone of this project, and we are eager to learn how to grow into it. Long‐term Growth:
Our intention is to share equity in our house through a cooperative organization, and to leverage the equity in this house to buy other properties in Denver. We want to create a community‐owned real estate cooperative that focuses on residential housing in order to provide:

1. Community wealth through affordable housing for member‐owners and
2. Personal wealth through ownership for people who are historically excluded from the housing

Hello hello! There is an opening at our Athmar Park location as early as April 1! This location is a five minute drive from South Broadway and is next to some of the greatest hotpot, dimsum, and pho spots in Denver.

Monthly carrying charges are $743 for base rent + $95 for utilties and $75 for shared food = $913 total.

Our friends at another house have two openings in their home in North Denver!

The rooms are $500-$550ish a month (including utilities and more). The collective usually has around 10 people. It is a larger house with a very large backyard! There is shared kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, and such. This is a community so all work together to make decisions and enjoy the home! Couples and most pets welcome. There is no deposit.
