We're pleased to offer two scholarships of up to $250 to support individuals from diverse backgrounds interested in skiing or snowboarding. This scholarship is intended to reimburse the cost of rentals and a half-day lesson to help you get started on the slopes on March 9 as part of the Annual Ski CLE at Copper Mountain. The registration fee for the event is also waived for the scholarship recipient. Apply by Feb. 28!

Discovery disputes surrounding Rule 30(b)(6) depositions abound in federal court, and United States Magistrate Judges S. Kato Crews and N. Reid Neureiter are often called upon to help resolve these disputes between parties. To help young lawyers prepare for these depositions and avoid potential pitfalls, Judge Crews and Judge Neureiter will host a free CLE in the Byron G. Rogers Courthouse. The YLD is attempting to revive their Lawyers' Softball League this year!
The first game is tentatively scheduled to begin Thursday, June 2 and the season is expected to last about 8-10 weeks.

This online session will be led by Denver District Court Judge, Hon. Jay Grant, and Denver County Court Judge, Hon. Isabel Pallares. Both Judge Grant and Judge Pallarés will provide valuable insights based not only on their judicial experiences but on their prior experiences as trial attorneys. This presentation, like all of the Courtroom Chats, will occur in a casual “roundtable” format in which attendees are encouraged to ask questions and participate in a dialogue with the presenters.
