Closing Times…a lesson in ✨trusting the process✨

This play has truly been a labor of love for everyone involved. After falling in love with the script, director Ina Marlowe assembled a team of renowned tech-theatre professionals - who we consider the Avengers⚡️🦾👊 of theatre design - to bring this elusive story to life. Creating the unique setting featured in Derek Murphy’s play was a singular challenge, one that our designers accomplished…and then left us in a permanent state of awe🥹🤩🤭 Having this incredible show make its WORLD PREMIERE on DTE’s stage, with contributions from such wonderful and talented artists, has been a joy for all DTE artists and audiences alike.

Don’t miss out on your chance to see this show LIVE before we close on AUGUST 10! Get your tickets to our upcoming performances of Closing Times at the Linktree in our bio!

Meet our 🥹🥹SET🥹🥹

Today is ✨tech day✨ for Closing Times by Derek Murphy! We are so grateful to have all of our designers in the house with us today: THE Joe Tilford has designed this gorgeous set, lit by the one and only Shannon McKinney, and our actors are looking particularly snazzy in costumes designed by the incredible Julie Attebery--and this deep-dive into this story is rounded out by Aaron Dupuis's fantastic sound design!

The beauty of this show can't even be done justice through photos - we are absolutely obsessed with her! Grab your tickets now to witness this vision in-person through the Linktree in our bio!
