PTK Election Season is here.

Caucus will take place on April 16, followed by Election Day on April 21. Voting will open at 5:00 PM on April 21 and remain open for 48 hours. All voting will be conducted through a link posted on our PTK D2L page.

Members may apply for the four primary leadership positions: President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of Service, and Vice President of Scholarship.

The President is responsible for overseeing the overall direction of the chapter, ensuring all initiatives align with PTK’s mission, and guiding the leadership team toward success.

The Executive Vice President supports the President in managing chapter operations, helps coordinate communication and ex*****on across all roles, and ensures the chapter runs smoothly and efficiently.

The Vice President of Scholarship serves as the lead for the Honors in Action (HIA) project, which is built around a general theme provided by PTK and focuses on research, analysis, and community impact.

The Vice President of Service serves as the lead for the College Project, which is centered on identifying and addressing needs within our campus and student body.

To apply, submit a resume and letter of intent to our advisor, Jennifer Newman at [email protected]. Candidates should also be prepared to deliver a short campaign speech on both Caucus and Election Day, followed by a brief Q&A session.

This is your opportunity to step into leadership and play a direct role in shaping the direction and impact of our chapter.

Whether helping members access opportunities for their future or keeping the HIA project in motion, Burroughs has proven to be both an extremely valuable and valued member to the ATK team

Next in our Meet the Officers series is VP of records Carter Bryner!
In this role, Bryner has kept our groups' goals and projects attainable and on track, vigorously typing timing and writing down conversations on the sidelines of every meeting. Without this input, the falling apart of our aims and missions is risked.

Our ATK chapter of the PTK honor society brought the energy to Denver this past weekend—connecting, learning, and leveling up together at our Colorado-Wyoming spring regional event.

There were educational presentations, breakout workshops, and an awards ceremony from which our chapter members left proudly with multiple awards.

In between learning there was plenty of fellowship time, food, a robotic coffee stand, UNO, and even a scavenger hunt in downtown Denver. Thank you to all of our chapter members for showing up with passion and representing our chapter so well.

Hard at work servicing the Front Range community

“Hi, I’m Lilian Fitzsimmons! I’m a pre-med student with a passion for research, advocacy, and all things science. Currently pursuing an Associate of Science, I was recently admitted to CSU as a Biomedical Sciences major with a concentration in Microbiology and Infectious Disease. I am also a Wolves to Rams NSF Scholar and a COSI Scholar. As a research trainee in the NIH Bridges to Baccalaureate program, I’m diving into the world of microbiology.

Beyond academics, I serve as the Vice President of Treasury and Fundraising for the Alpha Tau Kappa chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and am a dedicated advocate for disability rights—I’ll even be speaking at the upcoming Equity and Inclusion Summit. Before starting at Front Range, I was a Nationally Certified EMT (NREMT), and when I graduate, I’ll be walking the stage summa cm laude!

Outside the lab and classroom, I have a serious love for plants and animals. My collection includes houseplants galore, a dog, and a few exotic companions—including a poison dart frog, a black widow spider, and two tarantulas.

Excited for the next chapter at CSU and beyond!”
