We’re thrilled to share the upcoming season of the Denver Gay Men's Chorus and Denver Feminist Chorus as we continue our commitment to building community through music.

✨ DFC kicks off the season in November with Be My Neighbor, exploring the lived experiences of immigrants in the United States. Featuring pieces such as “A New Colossus” by Kevin Memley and Moira Smiley’s “Refugee,” it is musically and stylistically diverse, inviting audiences to move beyond rhetoric and statistics and encounter immigration as it is: a hopeful, challenging, contradictory, yet fully human experience.

✨ In February, DFC presents Social Mania, delving into the profound influence of technology and social media on modern life, how it connects us, divides us, and challenges us to find balance in an increasingly digital world. Through songs like “Hymn of Axciom,” an ironic reflection on data mining and surveillance, and “I Want to Delete the Internet,” an original pop-choral work by Emily Drum, the Denver Feminist Chorus presents a variety of musical styles to reflect on what it means to be present, mindful, and authentically connected in both our digital and real lives.

This season is the 45th anniversary of the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus, and we are fortunate to welcome several wonderful guest artists to lead our concerts.

✨ Dr. Clelyn Chapin, former Artistic Director of the Denver Feminist Chorus, will guest direct Wonderland: The Holidays Through Our Eyes. The concert will explores the joy, challenges, and traditions that make the holidays uniquely meaningful in the LGBTQIA+ community. From the quiet beauty of winter to the warmth of chosen family and the unforgettable energy of a holiday party only DGMC could throw, Wonderland blends beloved holiday classics, contemporary choral works, dazzling dance, and plenty of holiday cheer. Join us for a celebration that is heartfelt, joyful, and unmistakably DGMC.

✨ In March, the DGMC celebrates 45 years of building community through music with a salute to our history and the promise of our future. From pop to classical, q***r anthems to unforgettable choral music, DGMC celebrates the gifts of power and hope passed to us by generations of performers. Join us for this joyful, inspirational and hopeful concert filled with music you will love. Marla Wasson, the founding artistic director of the treble chorus Safonia, and former artistic director of the Denver Feminist Chorus and the Arvada Chorale, will bring her passionate teaching and conducting style to DGMC!

There is more ahead! Off Kilter and Take Note! return together in May, and in June 2027, both choruses will perform alongside the Colorado Symphony for a full-length Pride Month concert. Details coming later this season!
