The Colorado Woodworkers Guild is a non profit organization dedicated to all things woodworking

Colorado Woodworkers Guild was formed by a group of professional woodworkers around August of 1980. It has since expanded to include both professional and hobbyist and aspiring woodworkers. We meet monthly on the 3rd tuesday from 6:30-8:30pm in the basement of Rockler Woodworking and Hardware (One block north of Yale, between US Bank and O'Reilly Auto parts.) 2553 S Colorado Blvd - Suite 108 Denver, CO 80222

At the September Member Meeting we had Show&Tell entries from 8 members. Bill showed us some toy cutouts for 2-3 year olds. David showed off two End Grain Cutting board. George show some tools he scored at this years Handworks Event in Amana Iowa. Mike showed an amazing Clock made with wood gears and moving parts (except perhaps for a spring or two). Larry brought a Bench remade to sit in front of his fireplace. Cary made a Moxon Vise entirely of wood. Don showed us "Garden Art Organ Pipes" (which might actually make music if the wind was just right. Jesse brought an end grain cutting board and some tools in various stages of restoration.

At the August meeting of the guild we had four entries in Show&Tell. Andy showed off a table base made of Purple Heart. Scott showed us some Aspen Leaves in Marquetry. Kevin showed us a Display Case and and a jig he made to put splines in the corners of said display case. Sam showed off a table he made for a friend.

At the July 2026 meeting we had a number of S&T Entries.
Marty showed a Bench of Walnut & Oak, A Box of Walnut & Maple and a Plant Stand of Cherry & Curly Maple. Mike showed a Chess Board and Pieces (which he turned). Matt had carved a Salad Set. Dawn brought a set of Pens she turned for the upcoming FRWT First responders event. And Jesse brother in a collection of hand tools she restored to sharp and usable.

At the June 2026 CWG Meeting we had 5 entries for Show&Tell. First, Larry showed off handles he made for some Chisels. Second, Scott showed off some Parquetry. Third, Mike had a Backgammon board he made for his daughter. Sam brought a Bass Guitar he is making for a friend. Last Jesse had a Step Stool she made for her mother.

At the May 2026 meeting we had three Show&Tell entries.

Fred showed us a three legged stool with some very nice joinery.
Mark showed off a simple book made of Honduran Mahogany and commercial rings.
Sam showed a Coffee table made of Claro Walnut Burl and Silver Poplar.
