Yesterday, Lola was a celebrity roller for Tepeyac Health Center’s tortilla rolling event. She rolled her way to “Most Spirited” and “People’s Choice” awards, but what meant the most was being part of something bigger than herself.

The Salazar Family Foundation proudly supports Tepeyac’s mission of providing affordable, accessible, and culturally affirming healthcare for the Denver community.

We are so proud of you, Lola, for showing up with heart, energy, and love for the community!

Thank you to Urban Peak for welcoming the Salazar Family Foundation to host a Mental Health Awareness creativity event!

We loved connecting with the youth, hearing their stories, and watching them create colorful, unique self-portraits that reflect who they are. Every piece was a beautiful reminder that “we are more than what you see.” Creativity can be healing, empowering, and deeply personal.

Remember: you are more than words, and you are worthy.

We always walk away inspired by the mission of Girls Inc. of Metro Denver to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

The Salazar Family Foundation had the pleasure of being guests of Kayla Garcia, a savvy CEO who continually encourages girls to break the glass ceiling and lead with confidence.

Thank you for a powerful and inspiring luncheon!

Yesterday, the Salazar Family Foundation attended the Women in Work: Celebrating Women in Trades & Technical Careers luncheon hosted by the Emily Griffith Foundation. The day was filled with inspiring voices of success, culinary excellence, and hands-on innovation, creating meaningful connections with students and alumni.

This event highlights powerful pathways for the next generation of women in trades and we always walk away inspired.

When communities celebrate women, barriers are broken, others are lifted, and we redefine what’s possible in careers that keep our world running.

Last night, Mi Casa Resource Center proudly shared space with the Salazar Family Foundation to celebrate and honor their incredible volunteers.

So many nonprofits rely on the dedication and generosity of volunteers to continue providing essential services and this community is a powerful example of that impact. Guests enjoyed amazing food prepared by a talented graduate of Mi Casa and heard heartfelt words about how meaningful their contributions are to the Denver community.

From supporting ESL programs to advancing financial literacy and business development, these volunteers give their time and expertise in ways that truly make a difference. We are deeply grateful for all that they do!

Thank you, Christine Benero, for the invitation to be part of such an inspiring event.

For 27 years, Mile High United Way has brought our community together to celebrate the power, resilience, and impact of women and girls. Grounded in timeless values, kindness, humility, courage, and integrity.

We’re reminded that real change happens when we uplift and support one another.

This year’s featured speaker, Academy Award-winner Mary Steenburgen, truly embodied the values through her remarkable career and philanthropy.

Grateful to be in a room filled with purpose, passion, and powerful women!

On Monday evening, we gathered to celebrate the success of Horizons at Colorado Academy. We honored the volunteers and donors who make this program possible and so impactful for students and families across the Denver community.

We were reminded that access to enrichment, tutoring, meaningful experiences, and a strong sense of community empowers children ages 4–18 to envision their futures and create lasting memories.

Horizons helps students build confidence, discover their potential, and grow into who they’re meant to be.

The Salazar Family Foundation is proud to support Horizons at Colorado Academy as one of our partner organizations, and we’re grateful that our Director of Communications, Erin, serves on its Board of Trustees.

On Saturday, our Director of Communications and Community Liaison, Erin, attended the LAEF Sueños to Success Celebration.

Erin also proudly serves on the Alumni Advisory Committee Board as an ambassador, continuing her commitment to uplifting and supporting student success beyond the classroom.

The Latin American Educational Foundation continues to open doors for Latino students, providing scholarships that empower them to reach their full potential. This inspiring event recognized the 2026 college graduates and celebrated the ongoing progress our community is making to expand access to education across Colorado.

We’re proud to stand alongside organizations creating brighter futures through opportunity, education, and support.

Last week, the Salazar Family Foundation had the opportunity to share space with Concrete Sports and learn more about their powerful mission. This emerging nonprofit is committed to developing self-sufficient athletes from underserved communities through elite, systems-based coaching, equipping them to adapt, perform, and thrive under pressure both on the field and in life.

The room was filled with belief, purpose, and powerful testimonies. Jesse Hernandez continues to create meaningful opportunities for athletes and students to flourish, build confidence, and truly believe in themselves.

We wish him the very best on this new journey and encourage our community to learn more about Concrete Sports. The Denver community is in need of programs like this, ones that truly invest in helping athletes grow, succeed, and flourish.
