Last night, the Salazar Family Foundation had the honor of attending the Women of Distinction celebration with Girl Scouts!

We celebrated Leanna’s 10 years of incredible service as CEO and wish her much success on her next journey.

It’s been an incredible summer with the amazing students at Horizons at Colorado Academy!

The Salazar Family Foundation recently had the opportunity to visit the organization we proudly support. Together, we packed backpacks filled with school supplies and gift cards so students can pick out a brand-new pair of shoes for Back-to-School.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. We’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in these students and create memories that will last a lifetime. We will always cherish the friendships and memories we’ve made with these incredible students. Wishing everyone a successful and exciting school year ahead!

Before babies, we celebrate baby showers.

This year, we had the privilege of opening our doors to Girls Inc. of Metro Denver for one of the most inspiring celebrations of the season their College Shower.

A College Shower celebrates the beginning of a new chapter, honoring young women as they prepare to take the next step toward college, their futures, and the incredible lives ahead of them. It was an honor to share our space for such a meaningful tradition.

To the remarkable Class of 2026: congratulations! Your courage, determination, and dreams are already shaping the future. Keep dreaming big, believing in yourselves, and boldly pursuing everything you’re capable of.

Thank you, Girls Inc. of Metro Denver, for the work you do every day to empower girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We are grateful to celebrate alongside you and can’t wait to see all that these young women accomplish.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone!

A huge congratulations to our Director of Communications & Community Liaison, Erin Salazar, on being appointed to the Latin American Educational Foundation (LAEF) Board of Directors!

As an LAEF alumna, Erin’s journey is a powerful reminder of what happens when educational opportunity and community investment come full circle. Through her leadership in philanthropy and community engagement at the Salazar Family Foundation, she continues to open doors for others while giving back to the organizations and communities that helped shape her own path.

We couldn’t be more proud to see Erin serve alongside inspiring leaders as they help guide LAEF’s mission forward. Your passion for education, families, and creating opportunities for Colorado communities makes this honor so well deserved.

Last night, Salazar Family Foundation had the privilege of sharing space with the Children’s Diabetes Foundation at their scholarship reception honoring incredible college students living with diabetes.

Throughout the evening, students shared their experiences navigating the unique challenges of college life, from managing diabetes in the dorms to balancing academics, independence, and health. Their stories were filled with resilience, determination, and hope. It was inspiring to see each recipient beam with pride as they celebrated their accomplishments and reflected on how far they have come.

Congratulations to all of the scholarship recipients! Your perseverance, courage, and success are worth celebrating, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in the future.

Today, Lola and Erin joined the Horizons High School students for their annual Vision Board Workshop, followed by a fun field trip to F1 Arcade for lunch and memory-making.

The Vision Board Workshop and F1 experience came together to reinforce an important message: the formula for success starts with believing in yourself and looking toward the future with confidence in all the possibilities ahead. As students mapped out their goals and dreams, they were encouraged to see that their potential is limitless.

We love spending our summers with Horizons and witnessing firsthand the impact this program has on its students. Watching them dream big, build confidence, and envision their futures is truly inspiring.

Yesterday, Lola was a celebrity roller for Tepeyac Health Center’s tortilla rolling event. She rolled her way to “Most Spirited” and “People’s Choice” awards, but what meant the most was being part of something bigger than herself.

The Salazar Family Foundation proudly supports Tepeyac’s mission of providing affordable, accessible, and culturally affirming healthcare for the Denver community.

We loved connecting with the youth, hearing their stories, and watching them create colorful, unique self-portraits that reflect who they are. Every piece was a beautiful reminder that “we are more than what you see.” Creativity can be healing, empowering, and deeply personal.
