Once you're part of Minds Matter Colorado, you're part of the community for life. đź’™

Our Alumni Social brought together alumni from the Classes of 2008 through 2025, along with former mentors, founders, board members, and family members for an evening of reconnecting and celebrating the relationships that make this community so special.

It's always inspiring to see generations of the Minds Matter community come together, reminding us that the impact of this program extends far beyond graduation.

We can't wait to do it again!

📸 This summer, Mercy (Class of '28) is spending her summer exploring new opportunities through one of the many university programs Minds Matter Colorado students are attending across the country.

As part of the LYNX Photography Program at CU Denver, she explored street photography, self-portraits, and traditional darkroom techniques while building both her technical skills and creative confidence.

Mercy is also an NBC Media Fellow, making the most of every opportunity to explore her interests and prepare for her future. We're so proud of all she's accomplished and can't wait to see where her creativity takes her next.

This year at CELEBRATE, Helena, Minds Matter Class of 2015, moved the audience with her inspiring story of perseverance, generosity, and a sense of coming full circle.

From scooping ice cream at 14 to support her family to earning a full scholarship to the University of Denver, her journey was powered by hard work and a community that showed up when it counted most.

Today, she's paying it forward. She co-founded a restaurant in rural Colorado that creates jobs, supports students, and builds community.

Her story reminds us that investing in one student creates a far-reaching impact.

At this year's CELEBRATE, Elah shared a powerful account of resilience, growth, and the discovery of her voice.

After moving 6,000 miles and facing burnout early on, she found support, mentorship, and community through Minds Matter Colorado, and everything changed.

Today, she’s graduating with a 4.2 GPA and an associate’s degree, and she's heading to Colorado State University after being accepted to 12 colleges.

Though, as she reminded us, the accolades aren’t the point. Growth is. Support is. Belief is.

Earlier this month, Minds Matter Colorado students were selected to participate in NBCUniversal's 2-day paid Media Fellows program. 🎥✨

Students got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at NBCUniversal's Colorado offices through studio tours, guest speakers from across the organization, and hands-on learning experiences in broadcasting, advertising, and AI.

Working alongside NBCU professionals, students tackled a real-world case study exploring how AI can support college-bound youth before presenting their ideas to NBCUniversal executives.

A huge thank you to NBCUniversal for investing in our students and helping them explore future career possibilities.

31 seniors. 15 universities. 100% success. Meet the Minds Matter Colorado Class of 2026.

This class earned some of the most prestigious scholarships in the country:
🏆 EmpowerED Scholars (2)
🏆 Posse Scholar
🏆 QuestBridge Scholars (3)
🏆 Sean Ranch Lough Scholars (4)

And that's not all. MMCO proudly awarded $39K in scholarships to 7 seniors, in addition to the many other scholarships this class earned on its own.

Next fall, these scholars will be scattered across 15 universities, and every single one of them earned their place there.

Class of 2026, the next chapter is yours.
