Join us on Saturday, May 16th, for a Sign Language Interpreters Networking Event. Whether you are a working interpreter, a student, or a member of the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities, we would love to see you there. This casual morning meetup is a great chance to share ideas, make new friends, and work together to build a more inclusive Colorado.

The Ascent Program connects Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind (DHHDB) Advisors with the families of children who are DHHDB and with DHHDB students up to age 21. Anyone can make a request! Advisors can come to family homes, schools, and events!

El Programa Ascent conecta a asesores adultos sordos, sordos parciales y sordociegos (DHHDB por sus siglas en ingles) con las familias de niños DHHDB y con estudiantes DHHDB de hasta 21 años de edad. Los padres, el personal escolar y los organizadores de eventos pueden solicitar estas conexiones para llevarlas a cabo en los hogares de las familias, en las escuelas o en eventos.

The CO cCMV Family Network was created to bring families experiencing CMV together for mutual education and support related to this complicated condition, while advocating for greater public education, prevention, and routine cCMV screening at birth. Families have the right to know the full picture and have access to the best medical care and supports. It’s vitally important that cCMV is diagnosed within the first 21 days of life in order to be eligible for anti-viral treatment.

The Ascent Program is ready to receive requests for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Adult Advisors to visit families, schools, & events to share lived experiences, resources, knowledge, and support.

Families and schools with Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind children/students from birth to 21 years of age are eligible for this program.

We now have a great group of Adult Advisors ready to go!
