Tomorrow is my birthday, and this time of year I volunteer for a cause that isn’t necessarily for eyeballs. After reflecting on this past year it has been incredibly meaningful for Art for Eyes partnering with to create more inclusive public art spaces and events because art should be accessible for everyone.

Today our teams came together to serve the community alongside reminding us that care, compassion, and inclusion belong at the center of everything we create.

Join us June 27–28 on 2293 Lawrence Street for our inclusive mural festival featuring live mural painting, live music, vendors, raffles, food, kids workshops, eye art galleries, and more. Proceeds from art sales help provide financial aid for children needing prosthetic eyes.

SPRING into action artists because your creativity can literally help change a child’s life.

Art For Eyes 501(c)(3) is inviting artists to submit original artwork to support visually impaired children, including those affected by retinoblastoma (a rare childhood eye cancer usually resulting in eye removals). Through our Grand Slam Paint Jam, pieces will be sold (50-50 artist split) to help fund prosthetic eyes—essential medical devices that can cost thousands and are not always covered by insurance. Founded by Meg Landry after her autistic daughter Lyla lost her eye to retinoblastoma, Art For Eyes is building a community of artists who want to create meaningful impact. We’re looking for work in any medium (up to 4 pieces under 36’) that features an eye and explores themes like vision, identity, resilience, and perspective which are ready to be hung on an S hook in our gallery tent.

Wowwww what a weekend it was in 👁️🎗️✨

We sold art. We received donations. We met RB survivors. We made a difference.

We have received an amazing line up of old friends with new pieces, and MANY new faces for our show at the Truss House in

Works are still available to purchase on www.artforeyes.org/shop but all new pieces will be uploaded after our opening reception.

This gallery fundraiser is “grab & go” so arrive early for your first look at the art because once it’s sold it’s off the wall! We will have live painting, flash tattoos, raffles (over $250 worth of raffles!), music, and more surprises. This event is FREE and open to all ages and abilities.

Come grab mom/auntie/caregiver a gift (Mother’s Day is May 11) that can change a child’s life. Our goal is to raise enough money for at least one prosthetic eye for a child on our waitlist. We need your help and support to make their dream come true.

NEW EVENT ALERT!

That’s right, the official flyer is out! We have unlocked the gallery the night before the show, for an early showing and a hands on sensory exploration for kids and their caregivers. This FREE kids painting workshop is going to be a real treat. All materials will be provided.

Come enjoy a Friday night with friends and family. This event is open for all abilities. Let your creativity soar with the help of muralists from around the country guide you through the process and help answer any questions you have. You also get a first look at the gallery show!

Join us for Second Saturdays at the Truss House May 10th for an amazing fundraiser! Proceeds help provide financial aid for children who need prosthetic eye(s).

We have art for sale, raffle prizes, eye centric flash tattoos, meet and greet the artists, and more! Free and open to the public of all ages and abilities.

Artist announcements first week of May. All artists have until April 30th to submit their creative works. Stay tuned for some sneak peeks 👀

Thank you to Shoutout Colorado magazine for featuring me this month! Sharing our story with Colorado and growing the nonprofit has been very rewarding. Lyla has been adjusting well and has found her favorite donut spot ☺️ another sweet treat is we cannot wait to see everyone Mother’s Day weekend for our inclusive art events happening in Denver!
