And now a heartfelt from our Vice President upon a successful return from
Dear Colleagues,
I am writing with sincere gratitude following our return from the Phi Theta Kappa Catalyst Conference in Baltimore.
First and foremost, thank you for the opportunity, support, and trust that made our participation possible again this year. The generosity, encouragement, and belief extended toward our students and chapter were deeply meaningful. This experience mattered tremendously to our students and stands as a point of pride for our Honor Society and our college community.
The trip was incredibly successful and ranks among our strongest chapter experiences. Students engaged in sustained academic rigor, delivered two major presentations, and represented the college with professionalism, confidence, and integrity.
At the national level, our chapter achieved Top 10% status among all active Phi Theta Kappa chapters, reflecting sustained excellence. In addition, our Honors in Action project received the Distinguished (highest) award, presented during a major ceremony before a large audience—an affirmation of the depth and quality of our students’ work.
Equally important were the relationships and networks formed. Students and advisors connected with peers across the region, including strong engagement with chapters throughout Wyoming and neighboring areas, opening doors for future collaboration.
Above all, this experience was a feather in the cap for our Honor Society and a reminder of what is possible when student commitment meets institutional support.
Thank you again for everything you do to support our students. This was truly a shared accomplishment.
With deep appreciation,
Brian Weaver
