Visiting Colorado State University campus for the first time was a meaningful experience for me. Being there through the Leadership & Scholarship program allowed me to see beyond what I had imagined and truly picture myself in that environment.

As I walked through campus, I felt a sense of clarity and motivation. It shifted my perspective and made my goals feel more tangible and within reach. I found myself appreciating not just the campus itself, but the opportunity to grow and pursue something bigger. I truly realized then, that college was becoming a reality for me. What my future was gonna look like.

That moment continues to stay with me as a reminder of what I’m working toward.

Getting to be part of the Leadership and Scholarship program has honestly been one of my favorite experiences. I’ve really enjoyed all the lessons we’ve had. They weren’t just informative, but actually helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect. I feel like I’ve built so many skills, especially when it comes to leadership, communication, and just believing in myself more.

I’ve learned things here that I know I’ll carry with me way beyond this program, and I’m really grateful for that. Being surrounded by people who want to grow and support each other has made it even more meaningful.

From not knowing what networking even looks like… to confidently sending that first message.

At a recent LinkedIn + networking workshop, students stepped into something that can feel intimidating, unfamiliar, and honestly out of reach for a lot of people. Questions turned into conversations, hesitation turned into action, and by the end, students weren’t just learning about opportunities, they were actively putting themselves in position to access them.

Spaces like this matter. When students are given the chance to ask real questions, practice real skills, and build confidence in a supportive environment, the shift is immediate and powerful. It’s not just about profiles or platforms, it’s about helping students feel seen, capable, and ready to take that next step on their own terms.

This is just one moment, but it speaks to something bigger.
