It's almost the end of March, so it's definitely time to Meet Your Moai!

Stepping up to the plate this month we have... Castaway Kevin! Perhaps you've met him at one of our summer events, or run into him at Disneyland? If so you know he's simply a great guy, who gets things done! Kevin has stepped up to fill in as our VP for the remainder of this year, and is an integral part of our FOMily.

You've probably experienced his legendary, award-winning hospitality already. But did you know he's also our Avahata, our Treasurer, who manages our monies and does our math for us? A man of many talents, and we're lucky he shares them with his FOMily!

Welcome to 2026 friends and FOMily! We took some time off to post solely about the FOM-wide fundraising challenge (hey, did you hear? We Won!)

But! Now we're back and ready to continue our Meet Your Moai series with our intrepid Vice President, TikiPunk! If you've been to our summer events the last 2 years, you've enjoyed his incredible hospitality.- now get to know him a little better.

MAHALO!! We can't say it loud enough- thank you for contributing to our Giving Tuesday campaign. We're thrilled to report that, thanks to you all, our combined chapters raised raised nearly $13,000 for the Fraternal Order of Moai Foundation! That's more than last year- and increases the amount the Foundation can donate to support causes like hurricane relief in Jamaica.

And... not to toot our own horns, but the Mauna Aloha (Colorado) chapter won the challenge by raising the most per member out of all our fellow chapters! We KNEW our friends and family were the most generous- and now we have proof. Thank you for helping us have fun with a purpose!

Our Colorado chapter is so proud to be a part of their ongoing good works- more than HALF A MILLION DOLLARS to the Easter Island Scholarship Foundation, disaster relief, animal welfare, and more. A kind benefactor has stepped up to help us raise funds to support the work of the FOM Foundation and their work preserving the heritage of Easter Island, responding to natural disasters, and so much more. Aloha friends! The Mauna Aloha Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Moai is putting our money where our mouths are- and we’re asking you to consider doing the same.

We’re taking part in Giving Tuesday on behalf of the FOM Foundation- you’ve heard us talk about them before. That’s the national charitable organization we support. Every dollar raised goes towards funding college scholarships, disaster relief, cultural preservation, and animal charities. We’re so proud to be a part of these global good works- and now we’re doing it again!

Giving Tuesday is coming up on 12/2/2025, and we’re asking you to consider supporting us in our efforts. Our Centennial State pride is on the line- all our chapters are engaged in a friendly competition to see who can raise the most funds for the Foundation. And we want those bragging rights- we KNOW how kind and generous our community is!

We're thrilled to introduce you to Matterhune- though, you probably already know him... and maybe even have purchased some vintage treasures from him? He's filled many roles in the Mauna Aloha chapter and we couldn't do it without him!
