Over a whopping 10 months into 2026 is the average amount of time it would take a Latina to earn the same a white man earned in 2025. Latinas only earn 53 cents to every dollar a white man makes.

The election is less than a month away, and we have to show up and vote. And if you can’t vote, there is a place for you and everyone else to be civically engaged. We all have opportunities outside the ballot box to make change in our communities by engaging with government or taking action to care for our communities. That can mean advocating, organizing, volunteering, or helping a neighbor.

Ahead of this November’s election, we are coming together because our rights, our freedoms, and our futures are on the line. At the same time, we have witnessed the extraordinary power of ordinary people organizing together to create change.

9to5 is deeply saddened by the loss of the legend, advocate, and ally Dolly Parton. Parton dedicated her life and used her platform to make the world a better place, and her impact on working women will never be forgotten. Our history and progress, especially in the early years of 9to5, are inseparable from the voice that Dolly Parton gave working women.

We have officially started our Community Justice Fellowship Program for 2026! 6 wonderful fellows are joining us this year, where we will delve into what it means to organize our communities to achieve economic justice. The women who are participating are leaders in their own right, having led various housing justice endeavors for their families and neighbors, bringing about fairer practices in their communities.

¡Hemos iniciado oficialmente nuestro Programa de Becas de Justicia Comunitaria para 2026! Este año se unen a nosotros seis mujeres extraordinarias, con quienes profundizaremos en lo que significa organizar a nuestras comunidades para lograr la justicia económica. As we wrap up the 2026 legislative session, we reflect on all of our member’s issues that were brought forth to the legislature. Year after year, we gather our people to support mobile home owners, for workers and for renters. We testify, we talk with those who represent us under the dome, we inform others about legislation that impacts us all, and we use our people power to uphold and expand our rights.
