Breakthrough T1D Children's Congress is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for youth living with to share their stories directly with Federal decision-makers on Capitol Hill and urge them to continue supporting policies that are meaningful for everyone impacted by .

📝 If you're interested in becoming one of over 160 Delegates representing T1D communities across the country in Washington, D.C. next summer , then join your local Breakthrough T1D team for an application FAQ session!

Community Engagement Manager Andrea, alongside Advocacy Grassroots Leadership Team Leader Lisa, will be hosting a Q&A session to discuss what you can expect for this year's application process and share writing tips that will help you showcase your best self.

You might be an ideal applicant for if:
💉 You're between the ages of 4 and 17 and currently living with T1D.
🏛 You've participated in local, or national, Advocacy initiatives.
🤝 You love sharing your story with anyone who will listen.

While this virtual session is open to anyone, please note that information shared might only be applicable to constituents in the Mountain West Territory (those residing in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah).

Meet Dr. Vana Raman, our Utah Hope Gala Honoree! ❄️

As Medical Director and Division Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the University of Utah (University of Utah Health) and Primary Children's Hospital (Intermountain Health), Dr. Raman has spent her career improving the lives of children and families affected by type 1 diabetes.

She serves as Principal Investigator for the Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet Clinical Center at the University of Utah and co-leads the T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative, work that's expanding access to emerging therapies and bringing disease-modifying immunotherapies directly to patients and families. She's also dedicated to training the next generation of pediatric endocrinologists, so her impact reaches far beyond her own patients.

Thank you, Dr. Raman, for translating research into real progress for kids with T1D and for helping make everyday life better for our community. 💙
