Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing are seeking participants for a study supporting Japanese women in the U.S. who are experiencing breast cancer–related pain.

Led by Professor Eun-Ok Im, the research team is developing a culturally tailored online support program designed specifically for Japanese women. Many Japanese breast cancer survivors in the U.S. face challenges such as stigma and language barriers that can make it difficult to seek support. This study aims to help bridge that gap by providing accessible, culturally responsive resources.

If you or someone you know may benefit from participating, or if you would like to help share this opportunity with the community, please consider learning more.

Additional details about the study are available at ClinicalTrials.gov/study/NCT06085313

By sharing this information, you may help someone who has been quietly navigating their cancer journey find support and connection.

Sakura Foundation is a proud community partner of , celebrating the 6th Annual National AANHPI Mental Health Day this May 10th!

The mental health of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Communities matters, and we encourage you to join us in spreading awareness this May and beyond!

This year, we center the importance of affordable access to care and vital supports like housing and food, alongside ensuring our community wellness by demanding immigrant justice.

Whether it’s housing, healthcare, or grocery costs, we know our communities cannot have their mental health supported until basic needs are met. This TOO is Mental Health: The affordability of healthcare, housing, food, & other basic necessities, including culturally responsive care! Economic Stress Is a Major Contributor to AANHPI Mental Health Challenges. Data from AAPIData makes clear that cost of living is an overwhelming factor.

For AANHPI communities, we know that Immigrant Justice Is Mental Health.
