National parks are living laboratories, and scientists like James Lamping are helping us better understand how they’re evolving. 🧪 As a postdoctoral fellow working in Washington state’s national parks, James uses live tree data to study forest health and the future of park ecosystems. His research is helping parks adapt and thrive for generations to come.🌳

We're recapping our weekend to remember at Outside Days in Denver, CO! ☀️🤩

All weekend long, we connected with outdoor leaders, partners, and park enthusiasts around something we all share: a responsibility to protect the places that inspire us most.

To start things off, we joined The North Face for a conversation about the power of early experiences in nature and why creating meaningful access to the outdoors for the next generation matters so deeply.

The panel featured our own Lise Aangeenbrug alongside professional skier Kit DesLauriers and was moderated by The North Face's James Kelly. Together, they explored how partnerships can help more young people experience the wonder, possibility, and lifelong impact of national parks, including through many NPF-funded programs and projects.

Live music and mountains, what more could you want? 🤩☀️

Music Festival brought together people who care deeply about getting outside and protecting the places that make those experiences possible.

At our booth, people stopped by to explore more about the trailblazers who have helped shape America’s national parks. It was a joyful weekend of connection, discovery, and park pride - and a reminder of the responsibility we all share to protect these treasured places today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Meet Annette and Ricky, two of the people helping make that possible. Since their retirement, they travel from Texas to Maine each summer to serve as a bus driver and transit ambassador, creating a better experience for everyone who visits. 🫐 💌 🦞

200+ participants, 89 partner organizations, 21 Board and National Council members, and facilitating 280+ productive meetings, Hill Day was a success!

Hill Day is an annual gathering that brings people on Capitol Hill together to educate our elected leaders about what’s happening in our national parks and how they can help. Board and National Council members, as well as park and corporate partners, held meaningful conversations about the responsibility we all share to keep these treasured places thriving today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Together, we make parks possible—every one of us. We are proud to be .

We are grateful for The Coca-Cola Company's support of its Government Relations program, including Hill Day events. Together, NPF and Coca-Cola are working to help ensure our national parks are protected and preserved for generations to come.
